Paper Sculpture

Welcome to my world of 3D! At an early age I realized my propensity to interpret my world based on visual and spacial relations. I discovered that I think best in 3D. To explore my concepts through artwork, my passion, I created this method resulting in the fine art presented here.

I have enjoyed countless hours stretching the definition of paper. The art I create through this medium can be formal and structured or flowing and graceful. Some works appear to be carved wood as is evident in the Southwestern and Victorian Series. In contrast, the organic shapes in the Floral and Saltwater Series appear to deny the stiff nature of the original paper. The subject matter is almost limitless.

Paper sculptures represented here are previously created pieces and show the range and potentials of this medium. Appropriate sizes range from a minimum of 18" x 8" x 2" or 12" x 12" x 2," to a maximum of 60" x 36" x 5." Prices are determined on an individual basis depending on the size and complexity of the subject matter.

Every piece of art is individually hand cut and constructed 3-dimensionally from acid free archival quality paper, mounted on a sturdy wood frame and encased in a 5-sided fabricated acrylic box frame.
